According to his Twitter profile, Marc Nobbs is an “Author of erotic romance, Blogger, Accounts Manager, Husband, Dad. But not in that order.” He lives in the Northamptonshire countryside just a stone’s throw from where Princess Diana is buried and the Gunpowder Plot was, well, plotted. It’s far cry from his inner-city roots, but that’s what an education does for you.
Marc is one of the few straight men writing erotic romance today and he’s known for offering something a little different. Something you don’t find often in romance – a man’s perspective. His novels have heart, soul, passion and intelligence. Captivating plots, fascinating, complex characters and steamy, graphic sex scenes combine to give the reader an experience they will remember of a long time. His heroines are strong, independent women and his heroes are hard-working, honest men. Prepare to cry, to laugh and to be swept along on a torrent of emotion that you’d never of expected from this happily married father of one, all interlaced with steamy love scenes that will set your insides on fire.
Marc is originally from Wolverhampton in the Black Country, and despite having escaped that god-forsaken place, he still lives in hope that he may one day see his beloved Wolves pick up a trophy. (It’s a very vain hope) He studied at the University of Aberystwyth and he’s still not sure how he ended up in Northampton. He works full-time for a firm of solicitors, counting other people’s money and wishing that all those zeros represented his own millions. He cries like a baby every time has to write a six figure cheque with someone else’s name on it.
When he’s not writing erotica, reading erotica, or working, Marc enjoys DIY and gardening (at least, that’s what his wife says), and shouting at rubbish footballers who aren’t worth the money they’re paid. He also enjoys beating his father-in-law at chess.
