Wanton Women contains 20 lesbian themed stories, including those from Xcite Books regulars and favourites Sommer Marsden, Giselle Renarde, Velvet Tripp, Lynn Lake, Toni Sands and Tabitha Rayne. The tales range from dalliances featuring bored housewives and policewomen to artists, actresses and much more. There are new couples, established couples, and ladies that have never dabbled in Sapphic delights before. In other words, there’s lots of variety.
The one thing that surprised me is that there are quite a few stories involving men, suggesting some of the women are bi, as opposed to lesbians. It didn’t matter to me, but for readers looking for strictly lesbian stories, they might be put off by this.
I couldn’t really decide on an opinion on this book. On the one hand there were stories so smoking hot that the book threatened to spontaneously combust, but on the other hand there were some that I ended up skipping altogether. Overall, I’d say if you enjoy stories about ladies loving ladies (and you don’t mind men appearing in there too), you should check out Wanton Women. The hot stories are good enough to redeem the ones I disliked – and if you can pick it up at a bargain price, then all the better!
