eBook Review: Fool Me Once by Lacey Wolfe

Article first published as eBook Review: Fool Me Once by Lacey Wolfe on Blogcritics.

Fool Me OnceFool Me Once is the first novella in Lacey Wolfe’s Hot Bods Series. It tells the story of a young woman called Skylar – a woman who was wined, dined and made love to all weekend by a gorgeous guy called Drew. The trouble is, he then left her in an empty hotel room and she’s still waiting for the promised phone call. Skylar doesn’t hold out much hope of receiving it. That is, until she sees him in a local bar, and it seems he’s determined to win her trust – or does he just want to get her into bed and repeat the whole process again? As much as she wants him, Skylar doesn’t want to be fooled again, and have her heart broken.

However, Drew’s willing to do whatever it takes to prove to Skylar that’s he after more than just her body – and for longer than just one weekend. But is Drew up to the challenge, will Skylar let him in? You’ll have to read the novella and find out.

This is the first piece I’ve read by Lacey Wolfe, and I enjoyed it. It’s a simple storyline, but well-written, tense and sexy in all the right places. I look forward to reading more from this author.
