Mr. Buff by April Angel is an erotic romance novella. It tells the story of Alexandra, an office worker. For some time she’s been enjoying the sight of the gorgeous man working in the building opposite. He often wanders around shirtless after going to the gym, much to Alexandra’s delight. This, and the fact she has no idea what his real name is, earns him the nickname Mr. Buff. She doesn’t think much more of it though, simply admiring the view each day.
However, when she bumps into him at a club, she soon finds out that the feeling is mutual. Their combined passion ignites almost immediately, and before long they’re seeing each other on a regular basis. The trouble is, Alexandra’s been hurt badly in the past, so she finds it hard to trust people. So when something unexpected is thrown at her, she overreacts. Can Mr. Buff – aka Andrew – convince her that he can be trusted?
Mr. Buff was a fun erotic romance novella. The storyline was good, the characters were believable, and the sex was super hot. I did, however, find the whole thing a little rushed. The build up was great, but once the two get together it seemed to speed towards the ending. I’d love to see this novella expanded so the love story gets more time. But it’s still a good read.
