Ruby Red Metallic is the first standalone title from Casey Sheridan. It’s a story about a beautiful young woman, Alaina. Performance cars are a passion of hers, and she knows an awful lot about them. She also steals them for a living. Using her looks and feminine charms, she ‘relieves’ owners of their high-end cars and is usually racing down the highway before they know what’s hit them.
She’s quite happy in what she does, using various disguises to make sure she’s never caught. But all the while, she’s keeping an eye out for a particular gem that she wants to keep for herself. A certain Ruby Red Metallic model of Porsche that gets her seriously wet. And when she finally spots one, she’ll stop at nothing to get her hands on it. The trouble is, she wasn’t betting on the owner being so handsome. Usually she lifts cars from middle aged, balding guys who have no idea about the cars they drive, other than their price. But Scott adores his Porsche just as much as Alaina does – and he’s seriously hot to boot.
So can Alaina put her attraction to Scott out of her mind for the sake of the gem she’s lusted after for so long? Or will she give it up for a man?
Ruby Red Metallic is a good fun read. The descriptions in the book are so sensual that you almost find yourself wishing one of these expensive cars would park outside so you could go and see what all the fuss was about. But really, all you need to know is that they get Alaina seriously horny and when she discovers her ultimate prize, she’s incredibly torn between it and its gorgeous owner. I’m not going to give anything away, but let’s just say this is a very erotic, light hearted read with an ending that made me laugh out loud – in a good way. I would, however, have liked to have seen a longer version of this story. I found myself liking Alaina and wanted to know more about her adventures.
