Try Me is an erotic romance novella by Diane Alberts. It tells the story of Jeremy Addison, a Marine who’s on leave. He goes to Vegas and ends up getting in a fight, then the next morning he wakes up in the desert, bruised, battered and dehydrated. As he’s walking to try and get himself back to civilisation, he flags down the next car he sees. And, by some huge coincidence, he happens to know the driver. She’s his ex-best friend’s sister, and also the girl he’s been in love with since his childhood.
Erica picks up Jeremy and takes him back to her place to get cleaned up, and it quickly becomes apparent that there’s an attraction between them. The last time Erica saw Jeremy, he told her he loved her, and she ran away, so things are more than a little awkward.
The thing is, Erica felt the same about Jeremy even back then, but now she has her reasons for not wanting a relationship with him – or any other man. But Jeremy’s determined not to let her slip through his fingers a second time. Can Erica resist the seriously sexy man she’s loved forever, or will she give herself a chance of happiness?
This is a superb read. Try Me is well-written, has an interesting and very romantic storyline, smokin’ hot sex scenes and tension between the characters, and also quite a bit of humour thrown in. It can easily be read in one sitting, and by the time you’re done you’ll be wishing you could make the guy on the cover come to life. Recommended for erotic romance fans, particularly if they like a man in uniform!
