Why a peppermint candy cane is not a sex toy By Suzan Butler
Why a peppermint candy cane is not a sex toy… I know, that’s a weird topic isn’t it? But I was trying to come up with Christmasy things to talk about on an erotic blog. Actually, I was trying to come up with several.
Then someone suggested Christmas treats and I started thinking about candy canes, because I’m especially fond of them.
Now what kinds of things can you do with candy canes?
And what kinds of things should you NOT do with candy canes?
Naturally, to answer my questions I went to social media and posed my question to my followers on Twitter. These were the answers to why peppermint candy canes are not sex toys:
- Because candy canes are too small… (actually this might say differently…)
- Because when licked, they come to a very sharp point.
- Because Chocolate is much more lickable.
- Oh, my god! The BURN. But then again, some people like that.
- Because the heat and moisture will make them melt and get sticky…
- Do you really want that to break up in there?
- Because everyone knows candy canes are hooked so they can hang on cocks. Geesh.
- Well, if the wrapper stays on, why not?
I know. I’m being silly. But it’s rare that I get to be silly and dirty at the same time.
Which brings me to my point. There are scenes in O Christmas Three when I get to use humor in sexual situations. Because sex isn’t always serious. I made it a point to make sex something to enjoy and have a good time with in my book, and sometimes, that required incorporating humor.
I’d like to say that I pulled it off. Hopefully, readers think the same. I don’t think I’ll ever write a truly “serious” sex scene. Because when you’re with the one that you love, “serious” takes on a whole new meaning.
So what do you think? Why isn’t a peppermint candy cane a sex toy?
Garrett and Brianna Zane have the perfect marriage on the surface. They share everything from love to their wildest sexual desires with ease. So when Brianna confesses she wants a threesome with his best friend Leobardo Vasquez, it awakens feelings Garrett has long tried to forget.
But the smoldering attraction between Leo and Brianna is hard to deny and even harder to dismiss when it’s all he can think about, especially when the three are trapped together in Leo’s cabin during a snowstorm. Seducing Leo will test their relationship, reveal old secrets, and maybe tear them apart. While there may be room for Leo in bed, there may not be room for a third in their marriage.
