Here’s an author interview from [intlink id=”1697″ type=”post”]Haven Isley[/intlink].
Find out what she had to say…
- What was your ideal career when you were a child?
I wanted to be the quintessential entertainer. Imagine a four year old dancing in front of a dresser mirror and singing her heart out…into a comb. I was a triple threat. I couldn’t spell big words or multiply yet, but I had serious rhythm and I could hold a note. When I was five years old, I started taking piano lessons and began writing little songs. Later, my songs morphed into poetry and short stories. Now, I write novels.
- What erotic authors do you enjoy reading?
Delilah Devlin, Portia Da Costa, Marilyn Lee, Megan Hart, Jaci Burton and many others.
- What are you working on at the moment?
After I started receiving the good news about my latest erotic romance, Memphis Rising, I decided to create a three book series. So I am currently writing books two and three in the series (yet to be named). Book number two is set in Savannah, Georgia and book number three is set in Charleston, South Carolina. I wish I could tell you more, but you’ll have to wait and see.
- If you get writer’s block, how do you get around it?
I seldom get writers block. I get…writer procrastination. But I have remedied that by writing earlier and earlier in the morning when no one is up yet, and the city is still fast asleep. That way, I have no excuse to abandon my computer.
- Who is your favorite character from one of your stories and why?
Since writing Memphis Rising, I have to say Beauregard “Beau” Wainwright is my favorite. He is an alpha male who knows what he wants, and he wants Jury Yates. So much so, that he is willing to do just about anything to have her. And I do mean anything.
