Hi! *waves to everyone* Thanks for following my VBT for Ravished Before Sunrise.
RBS is my first erotic paranormal. In fact when I started pursuing a writing career, I never consider writing erotic of any kind. I wasn’t even reading it. Mostly because I was guilty of allowing myself to believe that erotic romance was just about the sex and I wanted the romantic plot. I quickly found out that is far from the truth. In short, it is a romance story with more erotic scenes than others in its genre. The couple still goes on a journey together and falls in love, and sex still has to have a purpose in the development of the relationship.

Tourist hotspot and highly-sought honeymoon destination for Europeans *grin*)

Strange and Beautiful is the first book in a new series from JoAnne Kenrick – Tales from the Coffin. This short story introduces Estella, Vampire Queen of the Rejected, and her sometimes-faithful subject and lover Lucy Rotterdayne – a zombie better known as Lucy Rot. The two of them have loved men in the past, but are now together and shunning men. A coincidence? I think not.

Strange and Beautiful is a very unique short story. It’s written as though Estella is talking directly to you, the reader, as if you were in the room with her. The story itself is a mixture of humour, the supernatural and erotica. It’s very well done and I really enjoyed it. I’m looking forward to further tales from Estella and Lucy – and if quirky supernatural erotica is your thing, you should check this series out too.

What’s your favourite published work of yours and why?
Hmm…Reclaimed. It’s not out yet, but will be soon. I think it will always be my favorite because it is my first book I ever wrote. It made me believe in myself, and it made me who I am today. It will be out from www.decadentpublishing.com soon!
Where’s your favourite place to write?
In my room, at my desk! It’s the only place that is quiet enough with four kids and a husband lurking around. And I have all my book covers hanging on my wall to inspire me.
Who is your favourite character from one of your stories and why?
Matt, from my newest book, Broken. It’s not out yet (I’m sensing a theme!), but he is so raw, and kind, and passionate. Who doesn’t love a war-hero?
What was your ideal career when you were a child?
Being an author. I’ve always loved writing, but as I grew older, I thought maybe I didn’t have it in me. Finally, after much urging from my husband, I gave it a shot. I had one scene in my head, from Reclaimed, and from there the book just came pouring out.
Once it started, I couldn’t turn it off!
What’s the best writing tip you’ve ever been given?
I kind of mentioned it above. If you have a scene in your head—WRITE IT DOWN. Even if it is only a page long. From there, more often than not, a new idea will emerge, little by little, until you have a book!
Give it a shot; you never know what will happen!
If you could bring one of your characters to life, which one would it be and why?
Jasmine, from Kill Me Tomorrow. I’d love to see her kick some demon butt. But, if she came back, Gavin must come with her, too. They’re inseparable.
What are you working on at the moment?
I am editing a few of my books, and am about to begin a sequel to my full length novel, Reclaimed. It’s been in my head for a while, and is demanding to be released.
What’s your biggest writing achievement? Why?
Becoming published. SO many amazing authors are out there, published, and not published, and I feel honoured to be one who is. There were times I thought it would never happen, where I’d almost given up hope, but I’m sure glad I didn’t.
I wouldn’t want to miss this feeling for anything in the world. Writers: don’t give up! Keep writing!
