A Week in Milan is an erotic romance novella by Aimee Duffy, published by Beachwalk Press.
It tells the story of Amanda Hart, a fashion designer and single mother. Her son’s father really did a number on her, and now the only romantic or sexual entanglements she has with men are in her fantasies. Which is all well and good, until she starts fantasising about Giovanni Monastero, who also happens to be the part-owner of the store she works in. They get on well enough, and he’s a nice man, but she’s confident he doesn’t feel the same about her. Why would he? He’s rich, successful, gorgeous, he could have any woman he wanted.
When the two of them end up travelling to Milan together to the Fashion Show, Amanda begins to doubt her previous thoughts about Giovanni. She catches him looking at her, he’ll occasionally flirt with her – could he be interested? Finally, she plucks up the courage to find out, but what she actually discovers is yet another hurdle between them. It seems Giovanni’s past is just as traumatic as her own – possibly more so – and he doesn’t believe himself to be worthy of a woman’s love.
A Week in Milan is very much a will-they, won’t-they story, which will have you rooting for the characters from the very beginning. It’s packed full of the realistic emotions and problems people face, as well as an intriguing storyline and lots of hot sex! It’s also very well-written, plucks at your heart-strings, and has secondary characters you’ll want to know more about. So if you’re looking for a hot erotic romance novella to read, then I’d definitely recommend picking this one up. I’d definitely like to read more about these characters, as well as others that appeared in this novella.
