If you could go on holiday to any beach in the world where would you go?
I would go to Banyan Tree in the Maldives. You just step out of your beach cottage onto sugar soft sand and into warm blue water. Although it’s an island tiny enough to walk around in 8 minutes, you are totally alone in your air conditioned nest, and can shower in private, yet in the open air!
What’s your favourite beach memory?
My first trip abroad as a horny school leaver. I went camping with my first serious boyfriend above a beach near Biarritz, and compared with muddy damp English camp sites this was crisp, clean, civilised and French. He persuaded me to go topless and what a liberating experience that was, lolling half naked on the beach all day, being idly touched up, hitching lifts back to the camp site, then going for it in the tent all night, fired up by the sun and too much cheap white wine from the supermarket..

If you could go on holiday to any beach in the world where would you go?
I’m sure there are many beautiful beaches across the world, but I actually really love dear old Blighty (you’re unlikely to get eaten by a shark/crocodile/stung by a box jellyfish whilst swimming). I’ve seen amazing pictures of the coastline of the isle of Harris off western Scotland and would love to visit.
What’s your favourite beach memory?
Walking out to Ynys Llanddwyn, a semi-island off Anglesey cut off only at really high tides, on a sunny summer’s day and swimming in a sparkling, sheltered bay with views across the Menai Strait to Snowdonia.
