Article first published as eBook Review: Digging Deep by Kay Jaybee on Blogcritics.
Digging Deep is an erotic romance novella from Kay Jaybee. It appealed to me straight away with its archaeology theme as I’m a bit of a history buff. I’m glad to say I wasn’t disappointed!
Dr. Beth Andrews is on her first foreign dig in the ancient Roman city of Leptis Minus in Tunisia, where she’s co-running the dig with her idol, Dr. Harrison Harris. She’s delighted to have gotten this far with her career and is determined to impress the man she’s admired for years. Unfortunately, it’s not that easy. While very good at her job, Beth has trouble thrown at her by an overzealous student of hers and also by Harrison’s ex, which makes things incredibly difficult for her, and threaten to ruin her career and her reputation. Luckily, Harrison’s a smart guy who has a soft spot for the British redhead, which adds sparks to the already action-packed dig.
I read this book in about two sittings, I was that hooked. I absolutely loved the historical aspect, the insight into what happens on archaeological sites and the humour thrown in here and there. The storyline is interesting, the characters ones you can engage and identify with and the erotic and romantic parts are very satisfying. The only downside is the fact that Digging Deep is a novella – I’d love to see more of these characters, but that’s definitely a good thing!

Article first published as eBook Review: The Voyeur by Kay Jaybee on Blogcritics.
The Voyeur is the latest novel from the Queen of Kink, Kay Jaybee, so called because the vast majority of her work contains kink and BDSM. This novel is no exception – it has both of those things in spades.
This is the story of Mark Parker, wealthy businessman and committed voyeur. So committed, in fact, that he has a list of thirteen fantasies that he wants to see acted out in front of him, either physically, or to be recorded for him to watch later. His two female members of staff, Anya Grant and Clara Hooper are just the women to do this for him. The three of them live together in Mark’s Oxfordshire mansion, and travel between there and his London flat, which is conveniently located for visiting Discreet, Mark’s favourite BDSM club.
Anya and Clara have Mark’s list written upon their backs in permanent marker, and each time they complete one, it’s crossed off. They’re incredibly close to completion, but what they don’t realise is that Fantasy 13 isn’t just any fantasy – it involves other people and failure could affect both Mark and the girls, massively. Therefore Mark is determined to make sure that they can win the challenge, whatever it takes.
To do this, it seems that some of the fantasies must be relived, and completed to perfection. Eager to please Mark, the girls do as they’re told, and do it to the best of their ability. But will it be enough?
This is, simply put, Kay Jaybee’s best work to date. It’s imaginative, kinky, sexy and keeps you guessing throughout. So if you’re looking for a well-written, BDSM packed novel with lots of straight and lesbian sex, then you should definitely check out The Voyeur.

Thanks for inviting me along to talk a little about my latest novel, The Voyeur (Xcite, July 2012)
Blurb:
Wealthy business man and committed voyeur, Mark Parker, has a list of thirteen fantasies he is intent on turning into reality. Travelling between his London flat, his plush Oxfordshire mansion, and Discreet, his favourite S&M club; Mark is helped to realise his imaginatively dark erotic desires by two loyal members of his staff. His Personal Assistant, Anya Grant, and his Housekeeper, Clara Hooper.
Upon the backs of his willing slaves, Mark has written out his fantasy list in thick red pen. Only Fantasy 12 awaits the tick of completion against their flesh before Mark’s ultimate fantasy – Fantasy 13- can take place.
But have the girls performed well enough to succeed in the final challenge? And what hold does the Bridge’s Gentleman’s Club, Anya’s previous employer, have over Mark? A place Anya was only too delighted to escape from.
In order to find out, Mark’s girls are going to have to face some of the fantasies they thought they’d left behind them all over again; and while they do, Mark will watch…
