Roxy Katt is a Canadian who started writing erotica in the 90s, just for her own entertainment. Then she thought it might be fun to publish it, and perhaps even make a little money. Her first publication was a graphic short story (art by Tom Porta) in the very first issue of Heavy Rubber Magazine (1997). Since then she has published in a number of major erotic anthologies, such as the winner of the Lambda Literary Award for Lesbian Erotica, Lesbian Cowboys: Erotic Adventures (Cleis Press, 2009).
Her work centers on female and phallogyne (she prefers this term to “futa”) characters and various fetishes such as leather, rubber, metal and BDSM. Central to her work are comedy and humiliation, often presented in a cartoonish, slapstick, or bizarre manner.
