Hola, Lovelies!
I’m so honored you stopped by to learn a little about me and my newest release His Forbidden Submissive. This was such a fun (and sexy!) story to write, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. 😉
I’d also like to thank my wonderful host for having me here. You so totally rock!
Now on with the show, LOL…
A Writer’s Inspiration
Like most stories, the inspiration for His Forbidden Submissive grew out of real-life events. For this story specifically, inspiration grew from the marital destruction experienced by a friend of mine. For the sake of her privacy, I’ll call her Jane.
Here’s Jane’s story…
Jane was married to her hubby, Dick, for almost 15 years. They had 4 children, lived in a beautiful, up-scale house, and had what she thought was a happy marriage–until he started having an affair with his secretary. And one of Jane’s good friends.
Swell guy, isn’t he?
So after a lot of nasty divorce stuff and even nastier heartache ensued, Jane found comfort in the arms of Dick’s brother, John. John was his brother’s polar opposite. Where Dick was blonde and “proper,” Chris was covered in tatts and had bad-boy down to art form. The two men’s stark differences struck me…
And inspiration was born.
With my friend’s consent, I stole aspects of their story and crafted a story around it. In His Forbidden Submissive, I gave the heroine’s ex Dick’s actual middle name. 😉 Dick and John both worked in construction, so I switched that up a little and made my story brothers architects.
And that’s where fiction and reality split.
Jane and John didn’t stay together for very long, but it was long enough to really piss Dick off, LOL. And now Jane’s happy and in a long-term relationship with her young stud. Life could be worse for Jane, right, LOL?
So I guess the moral of this story, lovelies, is simple. Be nice to a romance writer…or you may end up in their next book. 😉
Later!

To find happiness, she must do something she swore she’d never do again.
Let a man control her.
After beating cancer, Vivian goes on a mission to cleanse her life. First on the list, kicking her cheating, controlling husband to the curb. Second, discovering the answer to a question that’s been haunting her. Is the love she harbors for Brock, her bad-boy brother-in-law, genuine or a chemotherapy-induced illusion?
Brock loves a woman he can’t have. His brother’s wife. To claim her would be a betrayal. He knows loving her is wrong but he can’t help it. So when circumstances bring them back together, he can no longer deny his forbidden attraction, and they unite in a fury of passion, lust—and bondage.
But Vivian isn’t prepared for Brock’s BDSM lifestyle, no matter how sexy he looks with his tats and leathers. After ten years with a controlling husband, submission is terrifying—but so is never being with Brock again. Submission or freedom? No matter which she chooses, her life will change forever.
*****
Vivian scrutinized Brock’s expression. Jaw slack, eyes wide, forehead bunched. Oh yeah, she’d shocked him. Good. She just hoped she hadn’t shocked him too much. Because she wanted Brock Michaels, and now that she was a—mostly—free woman, she would have him.
She’d set her plan into motion, and she wasn’t backing down now.
She stepped so close to him the tips of her nipples brushed his chest. “So what do you say, Brock? Do you want me?”
“No. I mean yes. I mean—shit.” He cut around her and lumbered to the nearby bay window. He kept his back to her with each step, but with so much at stake, she wasn’t about to let him get away so easily.
Courage time.
She followed him, slipped her arms around his waist and snuggled against his back. It was like hugging a steal beam. “I want you, Brock, so if you want me too, all you have to do is—”
“I can’t, Viv.”
“Can’t?”
“You’re just upset with my brother, and you want to give him a taste of his own medicine. Not that I blame you. Eugene could use a big, heaping helping of asswipe. But you don’t really want this, Viv…”
His voice dropped nearly two octaves, and his last sentence came out so garbled she wasn’t sure what he’d said, but it sounded like, Not the way I do.
Doubt doused desire. Was she making a mistake? Was Anne right? Should Vivian simply be upfront with Brock, tell him she loved him and see what happens? After all, since her arrival, he had shown signs of genuine affection.
But then those emotions had turned cold again, a little voice reminded her.
She closed her eyes, held him tighter. She didn’t know what to do. All she knew for sure was she’d passed the point of no return. She was standing on the outskirts of The Promised Land, and she couldn’t turn back now.

Brandi Evans is a stay-at-home mom with a serious addiction…the compulsive need to tell sexy stories to whoever will listen.
She brings to life fun, flawed characters with kick-ass-and-take-no-prisoners attitudes who challenge her every step of the writing process. Whether inspiring a hot-and-heavy contemporary, a pulse-pounding suspense or a dark-and-decadent paranormal romance, her muse knows no boundaries. And she likes it that way. When veering outside the box, she never knows where her next story could take her.
