Thank you, Lucy, for letting me visit your readers today! I’m so happy to be here.
When I started my blog, back in 2012, I had no idea I’d decide to write erotica and publish it. I don’t think I even knew self-publishing (or independently publishing, as it’s sometimes called) was even a thing. All I knew is that I had sexual fantasies running through my head and a desire to figure out how to make myself have an orgasm.
A Sexual Being was supposed to be a way to chronicle my journey through sexual awakening and fulfillment. Along the way, I learned that I am a submissive who needs and wants a Dominant partner. I was fortunate enough to meet the right Dominant and fall deeply in love.
Around the time our relationship began, I started writing pieces of fiction on my site centered around characters I dubbed Sir and Babygirl. In my bits of flash fiction, they were already an established couple – and they were having plenty of kinky fun. I loved writing the sex scenes and incorporating my burgeoning knowledge of kink, dominance and submission (D/s), and BDSM into the stories.
The more I learned about D/s, the more I learned that, from the outside looking in, most non-kinksters believe at best, it’s setting women back 50 years and at worst, abuse. Most people believe it’s all about sex and nothing else. Well, since there are male submissives, it’s definitely not setting any gender back. And when the acts between two adults are consensual, it’s not abuse. Knowing there were misconceptions, I decided to start writing about what D/s looks like in the real world. From there, a book idea was born.
I freely and fully admit that the Sir and Babygirl stories I write are based on my own relationship with fellow sex blogger, John Brownstone. The details are different, but the emotions are very real and pulled from memories. Katie (Babygirl) is a sex blogger who suffered a broken heart from her first Dominant. Johnathan (Sir) is a divorced Dominant who is ready for love and know he wants Katie to be his Babygirl. The stories I write take readers on their journey to find love and live the D/s life they want.
The first book, The Adventures of Sir and Babygirl, told the story of how they met and what Sir had to do to break through Babygirl’s walls and gain her trust and affection. In the second book, Sir and Babygirl: Bound by Love, they’re navigating the tricky part of any relationship – love. And of course, there’s plenty of hot, kinky sex, too.
I love Happily Ever After (HEA) stories and while I have no doubt Sir and Babygirl will have their HEA, it wouldn’t be worth it if they didn’t have to work for it.
With that in mind, here’s a look at the series and a peek at the newest release, Sir and Babygirl: Bound by Love.
The Adventures of Sir and Babygirl
Katie, a blogger recovering from a broken heart, has sworn off relationships, even though she misses being the babygirl to a strong Dominant man. Afraid to make another connection, she hides behind her blog.
Johnathan knows he’s no Dominant without a submissive. A few conversations with Katie, and he thinks he may have found the woman he needs and craves.
Will Katie and Johnathan find what they need in each other? Can they become Sir and Babygirl?
Join them as they embark on an adventure of the heart, mind, body, and soul with big doses of kinky, BDSM-filled sexual escapades along the way.

Sir and Babygirl: Bound by Love (with an excerpt!)
In the second set of adventures, Sir and Babygirl’s relationship, built on a mutual love of kink and a need for the dominance and submission lifestyle, must move forward or stagnate. Can Babygirl set aside her fears of heartbreak? Will Sir convince his sweet submissive that he loves her completely? And just how many erotic adventures can these two get into as they navigate their growing relationship?
Find out in the sequel to The Adventures of Sir and Babygirl. This time, Sir and Babygirl are Bound by Love.
Available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, All Romance, and Smashwords
Excerpt:
“I hate you!” Footsteps stomped up the stairs, followed by the creak of bedsprings and the plaintive wail of abject misery, the kind of misery only felt by four-year olds in the midst of a tantrum.
“Well, that’s unfortunate. I still love you.” Katie knew Olivia’s behavior was just a phase, but it was one phase she could live without.
Rubbing the back of her neck, Katie sighed heavily, her own feelings of misery surfacing now that she was alone in a living room that could only be described as “wrecked.” Sir was due to arrive any minute and her home looked as if a hurricane had hit. Yeah, Hurricane Olivia, category four.
Was she foolish for thinking she could spend the summer telecommuting for work? Had she been too optimistic about the supposed freedom a new schedule would mean for them both? Was this worth the money she was saving on daycare? Would she be able to establish a routine at all? Was she just crazy?
Thoughts swirled through her mind, punctuated with self-recriminations for her own foolishness. She looked around the living room, ready to concede defeat in face of My Little Ponies, Barbies, and pink Legos. Why did I let my mother buy Legos?
Turning towards the kitchen, Katie felt like anything but her Sir’s Babygirl. She needed to be Babygirl in a way she couldn’t fully describe, needed to be vulnerable, safe, protected, and fully dominated by her Sir. Katie sighed to herself. First, though, she needed to start dinner since she’d promised him a home-cooked meal.
She looked at the kitchen in dismay. In the battle with Olivia, she’d forgotten the mountain of dishes, the clogged sink, and the roast that should have gone into the oven an hour ago.
“God damn it!” Katie buried her face in her hands, determined not to cry or scream. She could still hear Olivia’s sobbing, softer now.
The door bell rang. Sir! Katie felt a mixture of relief and stress.
“I’m so glad you’re here. But I’m so sorry too. The place is a mess. Olivia’s had one tantrum after the other this after – no nap, which is all my fault – and I don’t even have dinner started. I know you expected some-.”
Sir placed one finger over Katie’s lips, silencing her. “Can I get in the front door, please, Babygirl?”
Katie nodded. At the sound of Sir’s voice, she felt a sense of peace fill her. One wish had been granted at least. She was his Babygirl from the first word. He smiled as a look of calm washed over her face. Sir replaced his finger with his mouth, kissing her softly.
Babygirl looked into his eyes, leaning in for more. Chuckling to himself, Sir wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close, and devoured her mouth with his. Her lips parted, her tongue meeting his. He lapped at her tongue. Sharp teeth teased her lips. She responded with her entire body, wrapping her arms around his neck, standing on tip-toe, as if she would crawl inside of him if she could.
Sir pulled away, smiling at Babygirl’s swollen lips. He gazed into her eyes, taking in the distant look that replaced the stressed one that greeted him moments before. Taking her hand, he lead her into the living room.
Sir whistled between his teeth. “Damn. I didn’t realize one little girl could do so much damage.”
With a slightly calmer tone than before, Babygirl recounted the afternoon’s adventures. As she spoke, tension filled her voice again. Sir snaked his hands over the back of her head, into her hair, and pulled. Her voice trailed off into a whimper.
“Shhhhh, sweet girl. Sir is here now. We’ll deal with this together, ok?” She nodded, squirming and fidgeting. “Is something wrong, Babygirl?”
She blushed a deep red. “You make me squirmy, Sir, when you do that.”
“Do what, Babygirl?” He didn’t hide the amusement from his voice. “This?” He gripped her hair tighter and pulled her head back until she was looking into his eyes. She nodded, whimpering again.
“You like that, huh? I’ll have to remember that for later.” Sir released his grip on her hair. “Now, let’s deal with the situation at hand, shall we? Can Olivia come downstairs?”
Babygirl sighed. “I can’t leave her up there all night, I guess. Although finding some gypsies to sell her to isn’t the worst idea ever, either.” Sir tipped his head back as he laughed, long and loud.
About Kayla Lords
I discovered my love of writing at age seven and my sexual fantasies by age 13. It took a divorce and re-entry into the dating to world to find my sexual power and voice. I am a sexual submissive in the BDSM lifestyle which is not as extreme and terrifying as it may first appear from the outside looking in.
I write BDSM-themed erotica with a focus on dominance and submission (D/s). I not only want to turn my readers on, but I want them to realize that D/s is more than just a kink and isn’t scary or degrading.
A blogger, tweeter, and talker, I love interacting with my readers as much as possible!
