Hi everyone! I’m Kay Dee Royal, lover of writing paranormal, fantasy or contemporary erotica romance. I’ve penned a number of shorties in those same genres as well. My muse lives for the escape…taken away by strong, intelligent, confident heroines and rescued by wild, rugged, beastly heroes, both of which harbor shadowy secrets of intrigue and fun.

Where’s your favorite place to write?
My mood and writing project dictates where I write that day. I have many favorites: lakeside beneath a shade tree, my three-seasoned porch, comfy leather chair in living room (surround sound system there, electric fireplace, scented candles, and a picture window view), my half basement in an easy chair, or in my office space at my desk. Once in a while I trek out to a café or a county park.
How do you get yourself in the mood to write?
Walking my dog, Dusty, or meditating. If I can’t call up the flow, these two things help get the juices moving again. Plus, as answered above – scented candles and a gentle sound-track.
What erotica romance authors do you enjoy reading?
Oh my – since I entered the e-published world, I have a treasure trough of authors…you, Lucy, are one of them. Kate Douglas, Danielle Ravencraft, Kayelle Allen, Bri Clark, Tonya Kinzer, Sharon Hamilton, Karen Cote, Roxanne Rhoads, I could fill your page with awesome authors. In other words I have many, many favorites and I’m always looking for new favorites. I also feature authors on my sites, so am introduced to a great number of brilliant erotica romance authors.
What’s “your” favourite published work and why?
It is my current new release ~ Staring Into the Eyes of Chance. The why of it is the heroine and hero ~ Olivia and Chance. She’s a mid-aged woman who’s widowed. Olivia finds out at her husband’s funeral that for their whole thirty-four years of marriage, he had been unfaithful. What a blow!
Enter Chance…the rugged, beastly hero (LOL) ~ he’s gone through his own traumas, losing everyone in his family and then doesn’t care to find a mate, which is unheard of for an Alpha Lycan.
Let’s just say their attraction for each other surpasses unique, with what Chance can do for Olivia. Neither of them wants a relationship for their own personal reasons, but don’t really get a say in what their bodies design for them. *smile*
Plus ~ this is the first book of the LIIA (Lycan International Investigation Agency) series ~ so more to their story…
If you could bring one of your characters to life, which one would you choose and why?
Chance…you’ll have to read his story to get the “why” of it. Let’s just say fifty-five years old on a woman looks damn good in the eyes of Chance *smile*

Been busy working on the next book in this series…Savage Smoke. My story-stars are running with their own show…geesh, so hard to keep some of them reeled in. I finally let them go. It’s been so much easier writing (LOL).
