The Red is the story of Mona Lisa (yes, really) St. James, a young woman who has recently lost her mother. This probably doesn’t sound like the sexiest start to an erotic novel, but when it comes to Tiffany Reisz, anything could happen. And in this book, it definitely does.
Mona made her mother a deathbed promise – she would do anything to save their art gallery, The Red. Sadly for Mona, it becomes apparent that selling it is the only thing she can possibly do. That is, until a mysterious English gentleman comes along and makes her an offer – he will save the gallery, if she’ll submit to his sexual whims for a year. It wasn’t what her mother had in mind, Mona is sure, but the mysterious man is incredibly sexy, and if it means she’ll get to keep her gallery…
What follows is an incredibly erotic tale. I don’t want to say too much more and give anything away, but let’s just say the tale is sexy, kinky, surprising and well-written – in other words, what you’d usually expect from one of Reisz’s books. Follow this slightly bonkers novel to its conclusion and you’ll be on the edge of your seat, and most definitely hot under the collar. Recommended for erotica fans who like something a little different.
