I grabbed A Mutt in Disguise as a free read from Amazon. It’s free at the time of me writing this review, but please do check before you click, in case Amazon has changed anything. Anyway, freebie or not, this is great read from Doris O’Connor. It tells the story of Anja, a woman who has befriended a huge, wolf-like dog. He makes her feel safe, particularly when accompanying her home from the homeless shelter she volunteers at. She’d love to keep him as a pet, but feels it would be cruel. Besides, he seems perfectly happy with his current predicament. After a while, though, it becomes apparent that Mutt, as she has named the wolf-dog, is not quite everything he seems.
I don’t want to say much more and give the game away, but this is a great little book that manages to be intriguing, sweet and sexy all at once. If you enjoy short paranormal tales, I’d definitely recommend grabbing this one.
