Burning Rubber is an erotic novella from Lily Harlem. It tells the story of Sandra, a woman in a man’s world – she’s a mechanic. She lives and works in a small town as she was called back due to family commitments. Her boss treats her like crap, and there are no prospects, but she’s happy to bumble along.
That is, until Gid and his motorcycle gang, the Wild Angels, roar into town. Gid’s the leader, and he’s having trouble with his bike. He’s not at all happy about having a girl fixing his bike – but soon realises he has no option. As he and Sandra work together on the beautiful Harley, it’s clear there’s an attraction between them. Sandra thinks a quick roll in the hay with a sexy biker might be just what she needs. But when Gid makes her an offer – how can she resist?
This is a quick read which packs in an awful lot of heat. Gid is a seriously hot guy, and it’s easy to see why Sandra’s so tempted by him. I always enjoy Lily Harlem’s writing, and this book is no exception. The storyline is interesting, the characters are great – I particularly liked Sandra’s sassy attitude – and there’s a lot of promise here for a follow up story. Yum.
