Collar Me in ParisCollar Me in Paris is the story of what happens when Clay goes on vacation with his wife, Bianca, and the rest of her family. Each year, Bianca and her brothers have been put into pairs and sent off on a challenge. And each year Bianca is blamed by the brother she was put with for losing the challenge. Which is why she’s tried to avoid their silly games for as long as possible. But her bullying brothers manage to get Clay interested, and even though Bianca is the dominant in their relationship, Clay makes the decision that they’re going to play the family challenge. What’s more, they’re going to win.

What ensues is a mad dash about the beautiful Parisian streets and attractions, punctuated with lots of sexy scenes in public, as well as some heavy D/s ones in the bedroom. Can Clay and Bianca emerge victorious? Or will her brothers be crowing over her for another year?

This is a unique read. It’s an erotic romance which is heavy on the plot, but also, the exploration of the main characters’ relationship is also a major part. There’s fun, frolics, romance and plenty of kink in this hot novel – a must for BDSM fans, especially if you love Paris.

eBook Review: Taking Over Me by Sara Brookes

Taking Over MeTaking Over Me is book one in Sara Brookes’ Geek Kink series from Ellora’s Cave. Based on this, I’ll definitely be reading the others.

This novel is the tale of Allison, a self-confessed computer geek, and Patrick, the latest barista in town. When Allison heads to the new coffee shop, Perfect Shot, and sees Patrick behind the counter, she thinks he’s totally hot. When she realises he’s having serious technical issues, she immediately jumps in to help him out. It’s obvious from that moment that there’s a spark between them. Allison saves the day and Patrick is indebted to her.

From there, Patrick is eager to have Allison – via the computer company she works for – install a new till and security system in the coffee shop. The tension between the two of them continues to simmer, and before long, it’s gone off the boil. Patrick’s a Dom, and although she hadn’t been aware of it until meeting Patrick, Allison’s a submissive. They go together perfectly and when they realise it, they’re soon totally wrapped up in one another and their kinky desires. But things don’t always go smoothly in relationships and problems are thrown at them. Can their relationship survive? Is it over before it even really started?

I really enjoyed Taking Over Me. I loved the fact that the heroine was such a geeky, quirky character, and that her personality and likes were portrayed as a positive thing. The hero is hot stuff with a touch of the bad boy about him, so the dynamic between the two lead characters was dynamic and exciting. I found the storyline very interesting and engaging, and the writing, as always, is top notch. I’m definitely looking forward to checking out the next book in this series. Geeks rule!

Ruby TuesdayRuby Tuesday is book two in Mari Carr’s Wild Irish series, and as much as I enjoyed the first one, I liked this even better. Each book takes a member of the Collins family, and this one deals with Teagan. She works at her family’s Irish pub and sings there, too – she’s also content with her lot.

Everything changes, however, when the lead singer of world-famous rock band The Universe, Sky Mitchell, walks into the bar. He hears Teagan sing and thinks she’s fantastic. He wants to buy the song she performed and she refuses. A musical challenge follows – which leads to the two of them writing an album together. Sky’s more than happy to stick around the bar – it’s helping him to avoid the ever-present paparazzi, and he’s got a thing for Teagan. The peace and quiet also gives him the opportunity to think about his decision to go solo.

Unfortunately, though, things don’t run smoothly for Sky. At the same time he’s falling for Teagan, someone is trying to ruin his chances of going solo. The sabotage grows dangerous and ends up involving the entire Collins family. Will they make it?

Ruby Tuesday was an excellent read. I whizzed through it in a couple of sittings and loved the combination of romance and thriller. I very much liked the characters and their story, and would love to read about what happens to them next. An excellent example of an erotic romance with thriller elements.

It tells the story of the oldest child in the Collins family, Keira, who took the place of her mother when she passed away, helping her father and bringing up her siblings. As a result she put her own life and dreams on hold. Now, at twenty seven, she’s finally pursuing a college degree. The trouble is, she’s not doing too well and she has the hots for her professor. She fantasises about him bending her over his desk and doing bad things to her. She can’t quite figure out her desires, and she knows that nothing can happen between them, so she tries to shove her feelings to one side.

Professor Will Wallace has other ideas, however. As soon as  Keira is no longer his student, he’s keen to initiate her into his kinky lifestyle and show her what she’s been missing. Keira is a strong-willed woman who’s reluctant to give up her control. Can they find a compromise?

Come Monday is a very hot BDSM erotic romance. I was intrigued by the storyline from the very beginning and whizzed through the story in one sitting. There are great characters, an interesting storyline and smoking hot sex – a must read if you enjoy BDSM erotic romance. I look forward to more in the series.
