Long before El James exploded on the scene with her debut novel Fifty Shades of Grey, also known in some circles as mommy porn, many authors came before her and penned their own brand of erotic romance. As a teenager, I can still recall sneaking into my sister’s room to peek at her very worn and tattered copy of the Harrod Experiment. It didn’t matter that some pages were ripped or missing, this was hardcore sex and erotica, like I’d never read it before.
Alexander or Sander Xenos is the hero of my latest novella, Life Reignited. Introduced in Thirteen Nights, where he meets his son, Tai, the hero of that book, Sander is British a scholar, an adventurer, a blogger and a bit of a geek. Never married, he travels the world studying ancient civilizations, hiding the torch he carries for Phoebe, Tai’s mother and a mythical Amazon warrior.
TWISTED TEMPTATION (EVER AFTER #3)
Here’s an author interview with Nancy Corrigan. Take it away, Nancy…
- How did you start writing erotica?
By accident, actually. My first book, Unexpected Find, is a feline paranormal romance. When I sat down to write it, I knew it would have sex in it, but I didn’t realize how much of the relationship developed in the bedroom. The love making turned explicit and became essential to the HEA. I tried taming it but I was doing my characters an injustice by leaving it out so I gave up and let my characters have their wicked way.
