The premise of Morning, Noon and Night is excellent. There’s a story for every hour of the day, beginning at 4 a.m., and also a bonus story called 24/7. So this is a book packed full of twenty-five unique stories taking place throughout the day. Yummy. Authors contributing include Aisling Weaver, Heidi Champa, Justine Elyot, Donna George Storey, Jeremy Edwards, Kristina Lloyd, Sommer Marsden, Ashley Lister, Alison Tyler, of course, and many more.
There’s action in beds, coffee shops, kitchens, offices, in cars… the list goes on. I loved how the hour of the day was integral to each naughty tale, how some stories were just about sex, others more romantic, some risky sex, some not. The variety was what made this anthology most interesting, and, of course, the quality. With authors like the ones I mentioned above involved, this was always going to be a top-notch anthology.
Particular favourites were Five a.m. Walk of Shame by Dante Davidson, which is supremely hot and has a nice twist. Nine a.m. Office Briefing, by Justine Elyot, is a luscious office-based tale which will pique the interest of anyone that works in an office, or who has ever worked in that setting. Serious fantasy fodder. One p.m. Test Drive by Angell Brooks had another interesting setting, and one that I suspect is a common fantasy, and one that more people than they perhaps care to admit have indulged in!
Overall, this is an anthology I’d definitely recommend erotica and erotic romance fans to check out. As I said before, the variety is great, the quality is high, and there’s definitely something in here to scratch everyone’s itch. A lot of imagination has gone into this book, and I commend Alison Tyler for coming up with the idea. Hot stuff!

Inventing Herself is an erotic romance novella by Sommer Marsden, and published by Xcite Books. I’m a big fan of Sommer, but she has so many books out there that I just can’t keep up!
This novella tells the tale of Sophie Calhoun, a journalist for a women’s magazine. In early January, she’s given an assignment that she’s really not happy about. Her boss has told her to put something together about how a strong, confident woman can look deeper in order to find her centre. Which is how Sophie finds herself at yoga classes.
Unfortunately, the assignment, rather than calming and grounding her, just twists her up into turmoil and a dicey emotional state. She worries that the one thing she subconsciously wants is the one thing she’d told herself she didn’t need. This also results in an atrocious, albeit very amusing, date.
A very, very early morning hike is an attempt at clearing her head, albeit a very dangerous one. In the wilderness, she meets a man who comes across as very happy, grounded, centred – everything she’s supposed to be aspiring to as part of her article. After further conversation with her mystery man, Sophie suddenly finds it in herself to start walking on the path towards inventing herself.
This is another excellent read from Sommer Marsden. She always succeeds in crafting tales that are easy to read and understand, characters you can identify with, interesting and different story lines and, of course, totally hot sex. I really enjoyed this hot novella.
It was interesting, had Sommer’s trademark humour in there, and the lead character was someone I really found myself rooting for. Whatever it was she wanted to make her happy, I found myself hoping she would find it. Definitely a book I’d recommend to erotic romance fans. Another top-notch read from Sommer Marsden.
