The Highlander’s Prize is a sexy spanking story with some intriguing and heart string-plucking elements to it. It tells the story of Harriet Taylor, a journalist who’s been sent to Aberdeen to report on a Highland Games champion, Archie MacDonald. However, when she starts nosing around Archie, he’s deeply unimpressed at the invasion of his privacy and ends up teaching her a lesson in a way that leaves her red cheeked – and I’m not talking about her face!
This is a fantastic little story – I particularly loved the depiction of Archie with all his manliness and Scottish dialect. But he has a much deeper side, too. I’d have liked a little more background and development on Harriet, but this sexy story mainly focuses on hers and Archie’s meeting and budding relationship, which is fun, sexy, and steamy all at once. As always, Rayne’s writing style is brilliant, and the Scottish Highlands provide a beautiful backdrop to this highly entertaining tale of opposites attracting. If you like a love story with depth, emotion, a sprinkling of humour, and spanking, you should definitely check this one out.
