Erotica For All:  Why did you pick the mistress, or “goomah” scenario for this book?

Renee Rose: To me, there’s something particularly hot about an “arrangement” for sex. It tends to take love off the table and places the relationship into an enhanced power dynamic (which, of course, I always love). The top becomes more than the dominant, he’s technically the employer or (heh) bossman. The bottom is in the position of having to please her employer to keep the job.

In Mob Mistress, Lexi accepts the “position” of being Bobby’s mistress because she’s in financial straits. She agrees to be “available” to Bobby at all times, except when she’s at work. In exchange, he offers her a fancy apartment and spending cash.

eBook Review: Tied To You by Bibi Paterson (@bibipaterson)

Tied to YouTied To You is an erotic romance novel by Bibi Paterson. I haven’t read this author before, but based on this, I would definitely check out the rest of her books. This tells the tale of Olivia, a young woman who’s having a seriously tough time of it lately. Her job is demanding, and she absolutely has to achieve everything her boss asks in order to get the pay cheque she so desperately needs to help her family. Normally, this isn’t much of a problem – until an item she’s bidding on for her boss is snatched from under her nose. She literally cannot afford to lose out, so she chases after the winning bidder in order to persuade him to sell to her. From there, things take a definite turn… but I’m not saying whether it’s for better or for worse.

This is a very interesting read. I admit, there were elements of it that I wasn’t keen on – but overall it’s a fascinating twist on the whole billionaire Dom angle. The characters are very likeable, the sex scenes incredibly hot, and the plot and character development certainly keep you turning the pages. So if you’re looking for your next fix of BDSM erotic romance, you should consider adding this novel to your eReader.

Book Review: The Choice by Monica Belle

The ChoiceThe Choice by Monica Belle is based in Oxford, England, and its prestigious university. It tells the story of Poppy Miller, a promising and ambitious student who’s looking to get into the world of politics – in spectacular style.

From day one her choices are carefully made – who she’s friends with, who she dates and so on… she doesn’t want any scandals to come back and haunt her in the future when she’s launched her career in politics.

Poppy feels she’s made a good choice in Stephen Mitchell, a second-year student. They begin a relationship that’s fun and sex-filled, and Poppy’s quite content with the way things are. That is, until she officially meets her neighbour, Violet’s, partner, Dr James McLean. There’s something about him that she’s drawn to – and the more time she spends with Violet, the more she realises hers and McLean’s sexual relationship is far from vanilla.

Her curiosity is well and truly piqued, and she tries to persuade Stephen to get a little more inventive in the bedroom, but he’s not quite hitting the spot. A shocking discovery about Stephen throws Poppy well and truly off track, and when she starts exploring her darker fantasies, she’s not sure she can go back to how things were. But when her new liaisons threaten her future in politics, what will she do?

This was an intriguing read. It was a little slow to start, which almost caused me to lose interest, but fortunately it quickly picked up. Before long I was flicking pages to see what secrets and sexual shenanigans would take place next. Although there were relationships within the book, I would still say this book leans more towards erotica than erotic romance, as the focus was far more on the sex than on any emotions or relationships. I’m not saying this is a bad thing, but if someone is looking for a love story to make them swoon, this isn’t it.

A darkly entertaining and well-written read, packed full of a variety of very hot sex scenes and intriguing characters. If you love a hot erotic novel with plenty of kink, check this one out.
