Carla Croft describes herself as a “middle aged professional”, and is the author of the newly created Letters Around Midnight blogspot. She takes her inspiration from her friends and incidents from everyday life and sees everything around her in London as potentially erotic. Her blog posts generally result from her own fantasies, whether they stem from travels on the tube or overheard conversations. Little erotic vignettes of life that she loves to write about and bring to the reader.
Erotica has been a passion throughout Carla’s adult life and she particularly enjoys reader’s letters from such publications as Forum, Penthouse and Playboy as they suit her style of writing. Although a few of the tales in her book have some back story where it intrigues her and hopefully the reader, she generally likes to “get down to it” quite quickly. Fantasies, she says, are very powerful; people play and re-play them in their mind during sex, changing little details here and there; but generally they repeat a small sequence over and over again be it a smile, the raising of a skirt, or the pulling down of a zip. She would take it as a huge compliment if someone one day told her that they used an image from one of her stories as the focus for their own climax; the pen is definitely mightier than the sword.
Humour is very important in the bedroom and Carla will occasionally throw in a line or a comment which may lighten the mood of the story, but her focus is always on the matter in hand.
With one book under her belt already she is now working on the second volume as well as posting the occasional freebie fantasy based post on her blog.
