Hey you guys, I’m still on my release day high – just yesterday (October 16th) – my new gay romance, “Pisces Hooks Taurus”, was released! A sweet, slow burn romantic comedy, the story of Zane and Beckett is full of misunderstandings and funny one-liners. When you put a comic book artist and an English professor together, the most awesome mashups of classic and current culture happen.
So what about you guys – can you tell your Tolstoy from your Toy Story? Find out with this quiz… for each question, make your best guess: Pixar movie or classic writer? Bonus: if you tell me in the comments which Pixar movies the quotes are from, you are in the draw to win one of three “Pisces Hooks Taurus” paperbacks – open internationally!
Quote 1: What comes from the heart, goes to the heart.
Quote 2: If you focus on what you left behind you will never see what lies ahead.
Quote 3: I don’t want to survive. I want to live.
Quote 4: A loving heart is the truest wisdom.
Quote 5: I think . . . if it is true that there are as many minds as there are heads, then there are as many kinds of love as there are hearts.
Quote 6: You’ve got a friend in me. You got troubles and I got ’em, too. There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for you.
Quote 7: Then I examined my own heart. And there you were. Never, I fear, to be removed.
Quote 8: Our fate lives within us. You only have to be brave enough to see it.
Quote 9: I have just met you and I love you!
Quote 10: Love is blind.
That’s the quiz – let’s see if you know your cartoons like Zane, and your classic quotes like Beckett! You can enjoy many more quotes, witty banter and swoon-worthy slow burn in “Pisces Hooks Taurus”, which is out now on Amazon and also available via Kindle Unlimited! I’ll leave you with a small exclusive excerpt below. XO, Anyta

Exclusive excerpt:
Zane pulled out his phone. He winked at Beckett and sent him a text.
Zane: What are your favorite baby names?
Beckett drew out his phone and read.
Ten seconds later, Zane’s palm buzzed.
Beckett: I haven’t thought about it.
Zane: Liar. Everyone has thought about it.
Beckett leaned back in his chair, typing.
Beckett: Don’t laugh.
Zane: That immediately makes me want to laugh.
Beckett: Zane . . .
Zane: Okay, promise.
Beckett: Lyric for a girl. Sky for a boy.
Zane: OMG, you can’t name our kids Lyric or Sky. They’ll be beaten up.
Beckett: Fine. What are your favorites?
Zane: Boy, Xander—I’m a big Buffy fan.
Beckett: Let me guess, girl, Willow? (Praying it’s Willow and not Buffy)
Zane snickered.
Zane: I was thinking Sydney.
Beckett: You like Sydney? You?
“It’s a nice name,” Zane said.
“Are you sure you’re not Australian?”

Book synopsis:
It’s a time for searching, and a time for finding, Pisces: keep casting your line and you will hook what you’re looking for.
Zane has it all planned out: land the perfect Meet Cute, fall in love, and live happily ever after.
Should be simple enough if he put his mind to it. A little creativity and some thinking outside of the box, and voila, he’d be married to the woman of his dreams.
It would be perfect.
And it would be before his visa ran out.
But why are his feelings running wild now that the pressure’s on? Why is his picture-perfect plan turning into a muddled mess of morphed metaphors he can’t make sense of anymore?
Just as well he’s met an English professor to help. And even though their first meet is anything but cute, this down-to-earth teacher may just be the realist Zane needs to ground him and give him a shot at love after all.
Don’t cast your line too wide, Pisces. Your perfect catch may already have bitten.
