Frequent visitors to the site will know that I love Keira Andrews’ books, so it’s no surprise I checked this one out and enjoyed it. Granted, I’m weeks behind in reviewing it and it’s no longer holiday season, but hey, a late review is better than no review at all.
Eight Nights in December tells the story of Lucas, an orphaned college guy who faces spending the holidays alone. That is, until his roommate’s family finds out and invite him to spend the holiday with them. Figuring it’s better than being alone, Lucas goes along with it. He soon finds it’s not as bad as he expected, since his roommate’s brother, Nate, is sexy and intriguing, but after a dalliance it becomes apparent all Nate is interested in is a fling. Lucas is disappointed, but as they spend more time together, Nate’s opinion starts to change…
This holiday romance is sweet and sexy all at once. I really liked reading about Jewish holiday celebrations, which gave this tale a different twist. As always with Andrews’ books, this was well-written, heartfelt, a page turner, and seriously sexy when it mattered. Another one I’d definitely recommend to gay romance fans, particularly if you’re looking for something a bit different with your holiday romance reads.
