Article first published as eBook Review: Bollywood Nightmare by Victoria Blisse on Blogcritics.
I very much enjoyed the first book in this series, Silver Screen Dream, so I eagerly waited for the release of this one – Bollywood Nightmare.
Johnny the Djinn was one of the main characters in the first book, and he is in this one, too. He’s a cheeky, often sarcastic narrator who desperately wants to be released by his master so he can go back to his own country, and his one true love. But, as is often the case, things aren’t that simple. Rahul Khan, Johnny’s master, isn’t willing to let the Djinn go, and instead orders him to look after his daughter, Kiya, as she embarks on a trip to America, to launch her Hollywood career.
Unfortunately, things don’t go exactly as planned and Johnny and Kiya find themselves in big trouble, and it turns out Johnny knows who is behind it. What he doesn’t know is why, and when he finds out, his whole world is turned upside down.
Bollywood Nightmare is a fantastic read. I really enjoy the narrative voice of Johnny the Djinn. He’s very funny and engaging and balances out perfectly with the more sensible Kiya. Their adventure is action-packed and often has you wondering what’s going to happen next. And the sex scenes, although they’re not frequent, are very hot and packed full of emotion. So, if you’re looking for an erotic romance with a difference, you should definitely check out The Djinn’s Amulet series by Victoria Blisse.

Johnny is Back!
Johnny the Djinn that is. He first appeared in Silver Screen Dream and has been driving me bonkers ever since. He’s an all-powerful being who lives in a tea kettle or occasionally in a little green amulet. He’s also the property of the Khan family. He uses sarcasm and general grumpiness to cover his deep felt heart ache and he loves to tell stories. Here’s details of his latest one:

Article first published as eBook Review: I Heard Your Voice by Tanith Davenport on Blogcritics.
I Heard Your Voice is a paranormal erotic romance by Tanith Davenport. It tells the story of Tamar Steele, a sensitive working with a team of paranormal investigators. It’s her livelihood, so when she ends up falling into a loveless relationship with the team’s medium, Reed James, because he believes that having sex on haunted ground enhances paranormal activity, she’s doing it for the sake of the group.
The trouble is, she has feelings for another of the group’s members, Jason Bray, and the more she screws around with Reed, the more she’s pushing Jason away. However, one night everything changes. The group is on a vigil, and bored, she goes into another room by herself and sings to herself. Almost immediately, she is knocked to the ground by an invisible force. It turns out she is able to invoke spirits with the power of her voice. And there’s a particular spirit who’s hanging around, trying to help her out and make her see the error of her ways. But will the ghost be successful?
This is a fab read. I was hooked immediately, and found the whole novella engaging, intriguing, unique and sexy. So if you love paranormal erotic romance, you should definitely check out I Heard Your Voice.

The Spirits Are Willing But The Flesh Is Weak
When I draw up a new heroine, I like to give her some distinctive traits. Take my new heroine Tamar Steele. She’s a sensitive with a paranormal investigation team, but to set her apart she’s also the team’s webmaster, a history buff (who shares my opinions on Richard III) and, most notably, a sufferer of chronic back pain.
