In Read My Mind, as the title suggests, I explore what it means to have telepathy. Your magic might behave differently when you’re interacting with people you know really well, versus not at all. But I don’t think my telepathy is quite run-of-the-mill. Being able to read someone else’s mind is relatively rare. The majority of telepaths have one-way outward communication, and what Scott and Nick learn early on is that this communication isn’t just words, it’s emotion too. All of a sudden, Nick doesn’t need to ask Scott if he likes him, because Scott is radiating attraction when he looks at Nick. Makes things simpler, right? Oh, I don’t know about that. Because how do you handle consent if a person can’t control what emotions are getting through? Here’s an excerpt where the boys talk about exactly this.

Above The Love Song of Sawyer Bell
Victoria “Vix” Vincent has only two weeks to find a replacement fiddle player for her band’s summer tour. When classically trained violinist Sawyer Bell shows up for an audition, Vix is thrilled. Rank & File (Anchor Point #4) by L.A. Witt (@GallagherWitt)
About Rank & File
Senior Chief Will Curtis is as straitlaced as they come. While his fellow Sailors have partied their way through their enlistments, he’s had his eye on the prize—making master chief and retiring after thirty years of service.
Lieutenant Brent Jameson is a Navy brat turned Annapolis grad. He’s lived and breathed the military his whole life, and he knows he’s destined for great things—once he’s done paying his dues at the bottom of the ladder.

Bad Boy’s Bard by EJ Russell (@ej_russell)
About Bad Boy’s Bard
As far as rock star Gareth Kendrick, the last true bard in Faerie, is concerned, the only good Unseelie is . . . well . . . there’s no such thing. Two centuries ago, an Unseelie lord abducted Gareth’s human lover, Niall, and Gareth has neither forgotten nor forgiven.
Niall O’Tierney, half-human son of the Unseelie King, had never lost a wager until the day he swore to rid the Seelie court of its bard. That bet cost him everything: his freedom, his family—and his heart. When he’s suddenly face-to-face with Gareth at the ceremony to join the Seelie and Unseelie realms, Niall does the only thing inhumanly possible: he fakes amnesia. Not his finest hour, perhaps, but he never revealed his Unseelie heritage, and to tell the truth now would be to risk Gareth’s revulsion—far harder to bear than two hundred years of imprisonment.

Exclusive Excerpt from Covet by Yolande Kleinn (@yolandekleinn)
The best thing about the start of a relationship—even one as casual as the understanding between Jack and Colin—is the endless realm of possibilities. Obviously the characters can only take one path forward, but that doesn’t mean we have to ignore the rest. Read on for a glimpse into Jack Mason’s fantasies, as he considers the different ways his first time with Colin Sloan might go.
Be warned, there is explicit sexual content ahead.

Mackenzie Blair Talks Inspiration for The Quarterback
It’s fun looking back on a book and remembering the inspiration for certain scenes.
In one scene of The Quarterback, there’s a very specific bed at a boutique hotel. (I’ll leave it at that, so there’s no spoilers.) This was inspired by a trip I took with my mother back when I was in middle school. Yes, not the expected place to draw inspiration from for a romance novel! But we were on a road trip and ended up in a small Midwest town. There weren’t any motels just B&Bs. So my mom, back when there was no internet, simply stopped when she saw a sign.
